Forsyth Country Club has been distinguished as one of the premier clubs in the South.  Founded in 1913, Forsyth Country Club is steeped in tradition and continues to serve as an important part of the history of Winston-Salem.  Since its inception, the Club has played host to visiting dignitaries, prestigious golf tournaments and national celebrities.  Just minutes from the downtown area, the club is nestled on 172 acres of pristine tolled hills and wooded terrain in central Winston-Salem.

As the premier, full-service family-oriented private club in Forsyth County, our facilities, programs and services are exceptional, with a majestic golf course serving as cornerstone.  Our Donald Ross course design is celebrated, having played host to numerous Professional and prestigious Amateur events.  The course offers something for everyone, challenging the most accomplished golfers as well as providing enjoyment for golf novices.  Active Mens, Ladies and Junior Golf Associations as well as our weekly couples golf group offer a variety of competitive and social outings through the year.

Our clubhouse is surrounded by a grove of large oak trees that gives the impression of a stately and majestic southern mansion when entering the grounds.  The club has a wide variety of dining services available. Both casual and formal dining rooms offer exceptional cuisine, tremendous variety, extraordinary service and value.  Outdoor dining is offered seasonally at the club with a picturesque view of the golf course.  Our grand ballroom is available year-round, offering the perfect setting for family or adult social functions.

Family activities are well woven into the fabric of Forsyth Country Club.  Junior and family sporting and social events are offered through every area of the club, including Junior Golf and Tennis programs, Swim Team, Camp Forsyth and weekly family nights.  The swimming pool is the central locale for family activities during the spring and summer months.  Our outdoor heated swimming pool is available for members and our active swim team practices and competes several times a year.  Swimming lessons are also available for beginners.

Forsyth Country Club boasts outstanding Tennis and Platform Tennis programs.  Ladies' Round Robins are held through the spring and summer months.  Social tennis events are held with weekly Men's and Ladies' Nights Out.  A beautiful covered patio overlooking the tennis courts serves as the ideal setting for our monthly Couples' mixers.  Junior Tennis clinics, play days and pizza parties are also scheduled during the summer months. 

Our full-service fitness center located inside the Clubhouse offers members their own private health club.  Personal trainers are available to provide customized fitness programs tailored to individual goals and objectives.  Whether you need focused attention on losing weight, overcoming workout boredom or sport specific training for golf or tennis, there is a program to meet your needs.  Fitness classes are offered year-round including seasonal water aerobics.  Special screenings for bone density, glucose, and blood pressure are scheduled periodically.

The membership of Forsyth Country Club is made up of the business and community leaders of Winston-Salem just as it was in 1913.  The Club is privately owned by its members, with member sponsorship and endorsement required to join.
